  • PA-ESF1-2020.9.14#047.2. The Henry Stover Grist Mill. Henry was the preeminent Miller of Bucks County, PA and Hunterdon County, NJ, owning 28 Mills at one time. This Mill being unique in that it was powered by the Delaware River. Near Erwinna, Bucks County Pennsylvania. Henry was the first Stover family owner of the famous Irwin-Stover Farm.

  • PA-ESF4-2020.9.14#0489.3. The federal style Irwin-Stover Farm home. The first portion built by William Irwin, son of Colonel Arthur Irwin of the revolutionary army. On land deeded to his father by William Penn. He added a Victorian style wing in 1820. In 1846 William Irwin sold the Farm house to Henry Stover a prominent Miller in the area. Henry built the barns and garage buildings in the mid 1850's. Henry's son Jacob then added a second Victorian wing in the 1860's.  It remained in the Stover family till 1955 when the John Stover family donated it to the people of Bucks County Pennsylvania.

A  Federal style home, the first portion built by William Irwin, son of Colonel Arthur Irwin who purchased the first land grant from William Penn in 1681. Unique for it's time built on a field stone foundation but the entire house above it constructed with red brick. The second and third wings were considered Victorian style. One of the first colonial era homes built this way in Bucks County Pennsylvania.
