This is one of two such animals that lived in Anchorage at the same time. I captured this image a couple days after Xmas in Conners Bog near our home 2002. Eberhard Brunner and Vic Van Ballenberghe photographed a different bull like this the same year in Kincaid Park. Scanned from old film stock.

He challenged me with a "flehman" display but we were getting along quite well till some jerk showed up with his Black Lab and sicced him on the moose.
