He would walk like he was grazing and flop on the ground like this. Well I never got the evidence image but I believe he was catching mice or voles. He would hold them with his foot and jaws until he literally chewed them out of the ground. In a high pass east of Stone  Mountain, heading into the Muskwa country, British Columbia Canada.
