  • SD-2001.1#7b9. A famous old Dall ram familiar to many folks in the North Country. He was referred to as One-eye. He lived in the steep cliffs along Turnagain Arm south of Anchorage Alaska. I had the good fortune to spend many days with him all by myself. No one really knows how he lost his right eye, but it could have happened banging heads with another ram during a rutting battle. He certainly looks like an alpha male. Scanned and repaired from old film stock.

  • SD-2003.6.2#5.4. I spent about three hours with this Dall ram engulfed in clouds with the rain and this was the only image I got with a faint blue background. On the top of a ridge in Denali Park Alaska. Scanned and salvaged from old film stock. I also got to photograph a ewe giving birth this day.
  • SD-2003.6.2#55. I spent about three hours sitting with this Dall Ram in the clouds and rain hoping for the sky to open up. This was the only image I captured with a tiny bit of blue. I also captured a ewe Dall sheep giving birth this day but have hunted for years and I can't find the film negative. Outer Range mountains, Denali Park, Alaska. Scanned and repaired from an old film negative.

  • SD-2005.5.14#0144-A young Dall sheep ram chewing his cud and resting in the high alpine. Denali Park Alaska.
  • SD-2005.11.25#0056.6. A really nice Dall Ram tending a Ewe in the cliffs along Turnagain Arm, south of Anchorage Alaska. A redo of my originally developed image.
  • SD-2005.11.26#0056.6. Same two sheep in the previous image. I always wanted to show a crop with a little more geography of this event.
