  • A Desert Bighorn ram 2021.9.29#5788.3. The real estrus and rutting period is just about over but this Desert ram is still interested in the ewes and is showing off and following them quite intently.

  • An uncommon Lewis' Woodpecker 2021.6.18#4630.3. A bird found in more open dry wooded canyons in the  western states. It's numbers are in serious decline from the ongoing drought in the west. It feeds by flying out from a perch and catching insects in mid air like a Flycatcher. This one has just done that, notice it has an invertebrate in it's beak. Colockum Mountains, Washington.
  • A Mexican Tall Ship named the CUAUHTEMOC after an Aztec Chief. 2005.6.4#009.3. The first time a Tall ship had ever entered Resurrection Bay and Seward Harbor. We didn't know it was coming when we decided to camp on the beach for the weekend. It was an amazing show with a lot of Pomp & circumstance. Viewed in Seward Alaska.
