A Desert Bighorn Ewe feeding her lamb with another lamb in front that belongs to a different Ewe. 2022.4.12#9169.2x

  • A Ring-necked Pheasant. 2022.5.20#9452.3. A really handsome male displaying the best inflated wattles I've ever got to photograph. Dewey Saddle Road near Grangeville Idaho.
  • The Desert Ram Horn Cactus Garden. Arizona Hedgehogs and Beehive Cactus blooming. 2022.5.12#2369.2. Prescott Valley, Arizona.
  • A pair of Desert Mariposa Lilly's in stark contrast to the desert habitat I discovered them in. 2022.4.13#0445.5. Yavapai County Arizona. A 26.48mb jpeg I developed from a capture out of an iphone13.
  • A Ringtail Cat. 2018.10 Madera Canyon, Arizona.
  • A Pine Siskin that got the better of being harassed by an English Sparrow. 2022.5.10#9014.2. Prescott Valley, Arizona. The main reason I posted this image was to show how much yellow shows under the wings and tail. I've shot thousands of these Siskins in Alaska and never seen it before.
  • I found this Desert Mariposa just as it was about to unfold for the first time. Wish I had time to watch it for a couple hours and get the progression of the event but I needed to look at more country. This was the 7th bloomer I found at this location, and that was two more plants then I'd found in the first five years since I've lived here. I could have never dreamed that I would find a couple of more locations before dark and see over a hundred blooming Desert Mariposa's. Especially because there is almost nothing else blooming where I'm finding these Desert Mariposa's. 2022.4.13#2024.3. Yavapai County Arizona.
  • A Desert Mariposa Lilly (Calochortus kennedyi) 2022.4.29#7194.6X. A plant with some character that has lived a couple days in the wind. Yavapai County Arizona.
  • Tufted Globe Amaranth (Gomphrena caespitosa) 2022.4.29#2192.4. This was a real bonus, there are almost no other wildflowers blooming where I found these Mariposa's and this is a very rare plant in the U.S. Blooming and showing extremally tiny yellow flowers amongst the silvery white sepals. Yavapai County Arizona.
  • A night blooming Tufted Evening Primrose (Oenothera caespitosa) 2022.4.30#0781.3. Captured on our mourning walk as a DNG with an iphone13.
  • A Crook Fire Sunset 2022.4.25#8831.2. View from our patio, Prescott Valley Arizona.
  • A real good Dall ram tending a Ewe-2005.11.25#0056.6. A redo on the developing I did back in 2005. Captured along Turnagain Arm South of Anchorage Alaska.
  • A really great Dall Ram tending a Ewe 2005.11.26#0056.6. On the cliffs along Turnagain Arm south of Anchorage Alaska. I always wanted to show a little more geography of this event.
  • Head butting aggression between Desert Bighorn Ewes. 2018.12.5#092.2.
  • Head butting aggression between Desert Bighorn Ewes. 2018.12.5#094.2.
  • A Desert Bighorn Ewe feeding her lamb with another lamb in front that belongs to a different Ewe. 2022.4.12#9169.2x
  • A real good Desert Bighorn Ram. 2022.4.12#9393.3.
  • A Dall ram near Windy on Turnagain Arm in Alaska. 2014.11.25#378.2.
  • I was exploring for alpine wildflowers when this Ewe Dall sheep came around the mountain towards me. I had to get off below the trail as she passed within 10 or 11 feet of me and shoot it with a 60mm macro lens. 2016.5.29#299.5. Denali Park Alaska.
  • A Dall Ram has come down off the Healy Range to cross the Savage River so it can travel up the Savage Canyon to Primrose Ridge. The dull light and contrast have tortured me developing these images for five years now. This and the next image are about as good as I can get. And this was my last chance in Denali as I was on my way driving out of Alaska to our new home in Arizona. 2017.8.30#259.4.
  • Dall Rams crossing the Savage River. Same story as the previous image. 2017.8.30#270.4.
