I lived in Alaska most of my life and was aware of wild Mandarins showing up in the Aleutians and on the Alaska Peninsula that had strayed from southeast Asia. That was very uncommon, and we even had some show up in Anchorage a few times. But I think these birds in Lynx Lake are probably escapee's from captivity. Still a special treat to see these beautiful birds in the wild. Lynx Lake, in the Bradshaw Mountains near Prescott Arizona.
