  • First called Deerhorn Clarkia, but also Pink Fairies. 2018.7.1#3476. Clarkia pulchella. Discovered by Meriwether Lewis on steep hillsides near Kamiah Idaho, but described by Clark. This became the type species for Clarkia. This plant was captured near the top of White bird grade Idaho.
