  • A Common Raven calling on a large boulder displaying a really unique group of Petroglyphs. 2022.10.12#0741.3. If the Raven hadn't been calling so intently I might not have noticed the Glyphs as there weren't any others nearby. Note the broad shouldered trapezoidal like anthropomorph. Many other glyphs on this rock are unlike anything I've seen in this area. North Shore of Lake Mead, Nevada.

  • A rare Lobster Fungi (Hypomyces lactifluorum) 2022.8.29#4624.4. A parasitic ascomycete fungus that covers and consumes Lactarius and Russula. Both of those are mostly inedible but after turning into the Lobster they are safe and delicious.  Mingus Mountain, Yavapai county, Arizona.
