  • A Zebra-tailed Lizard 2017.8.8#219. Callisaurus draconoides, protesting that I'm in his territory.  Hassayampa River, Maricopa County Arizona.
  • Eastern Chipmunk. 2012.5.7#259. A one-eyed individual rests on an unusual pile of boulders that are Olivine Diabase. The Diabase formed deep in the earth during the early Jurassic period. Unusual circumstances uplifted the Olivine & Pyroxene sills to the surface during the Pleistocene Epoch. Extreme freezing conditions broke the sills into jumbled piles and fields of "Ringing Rocks".  Bucks County PA is one of only three areas in the Northeast US these lithiophonic "Ringing Rocks" occur.

  • Crab Spider species 2021.9.2#7509.3. Selenops species, not particularly dangerous. Prescott Valley Arizona.
  • A Funnel Web Spider. 2017.8.16#003.3. Agelenopsis aperta Is shy and not near as dangerous as the more well known Hobo Spider. This one is obviously far from it's funnel, probably looking for a mate. Prescott Valley Arizona.
